Dump-and-Bake Creamy Mushroom Pasta

A quick and comforting dish featuring creamy mushroom sauce and pasta that practically cooks itself.

  • 12 oz penne
  • 2 cups cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1½ cups mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the cream of mushroom soup right into a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  3. Add the vegetable broth to the dish and mix to combine.
  4. Toss in the sliced mushrooms.
  5. Add the penne pasta directly to the dish and stir to ensure it’s well-coated.
  6. Spoon the sour cream on top of the pasta and gently fold it in.
  7. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese generously over the top.
  8. Cover your dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 35 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and keep baking for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it sit for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Garnish with freshly chopped herbs like parsley or chives for added flavor.
