Baked Ziti Casserole

A comforting and delicious baked ziti casserole that embodies warmth and nostalgia, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

  • 12 oz ziti pasta (cooked)
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 lb ricotta cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package directions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes; drain and set aside.
  3. Combine the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, half of the Parmesan, and Italian seasoning in a large bowl.
  4. Add the cooked ziti and 2 cups of marinara sauce, mixing gently until well coated.
  5. Layer the pasta mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce on top.
  6. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes
