Bang Bang Chicken Bowl

A delicious combination of crispy chicken, Bang Bang sauce, and fresh veggies served over jasmine rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • ¾ cup Bang Bang Sauce
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup sliced cucumber
  • ¼ cup chopped scallions
  • Sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by cutting it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Sprinkle the cornstarch over the chicken pieces until well-coated.
  3. Heat enough vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep frying pan (about ½ inch deep) over medium-high heat.
  4. Carefully add the coated chicken in batches to the hot oil, frying until golden brown and crispy for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  5. Transfer the cooked chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  6. Drizzle the Bang Bang Sauce over the hot chicken and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Assemble the bowl with a scoop of jasmine rice, topped with the coated chicken, shredded lettuce, and sliced cucumber.
  8. Finish with chopped scallions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before enjoying!

Notes

Feel free to customize with different proteins or vegetables. The sauce can also be adjusted for spice level.
