Cinnamon Roll Potato Candy

A delightful and nostalgic dessert made from mashed potatoes, powdered sugar, and cinnamon, perfect for sharing with family and friends.

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Prepare your potatoes by ensuring they are lump-free and at a comfortable room temperature.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Gradually add in the powdered sugar, about a cup at a time, stirring until fully combined.
  4. Pour in the vanilla extract and sprinkle in the cinnamon, mixing until well integrated.
  5. If using nuts, chop them finely and fold them into the mixture.
  6. Dust your hands with powdered sugar and roll the mixture into logs, about 1 inch thick and 4–5 inches long.
  7. Place the rolled candies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours.
  8. Once chilled, slice the logs into bite-sized pieces and dust with additional powdered sugar or chopped nuts.

Notes

For more intense flavor, consider using cinnamon sugar on the outsides. These candies are perfect for holidays, gifting, or indulging yourself.
