Cajun Chicken Sloppy Joes

A flavorful twist on the classic Sloppy Joes, featuring tender ground chicken simmered in a spicy Cajun sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes
  • ½ cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 46 Buns
  • Cheese (optional)
  • Fresh Parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep the ingredients: Chop all your veggies!
  2. Cook the chicken in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink (5-7 minutes).
  3. Add the diced onion and bell pepper; sauté for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Mix in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning and mix well for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Stir in the diced tomatoes, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce; let simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Toast the buns if desired, until golden brown.
  8. Assemble the Sloppy Joes and add optional cheese if desired.

Notes

These Sloppy Joes can be served with sweet potato fries or a green salad. You can make the filling ahead of time and reheat it when ready to serve.
