Cajun Garlic Butter Beef Fettuccine in Cheddar Parmesan Cream Sauce

A deliciously indulgent dish that features Cajun spices, savory beef, and creamy cheese in a rich sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fettuccine
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup broth (chicken or beef)
  • 4 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add Onions and Garlic: Stir in the diced onion and cook for about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and Cajun seasoning, sauté for about 1 minute.
  4. Make the Sauce: Sprinkle the flour over the meat mixture, stir, then gradually whisk in the heavy cream and broth. Allow to simmer and thicken for about 5 minutes.
  5. Cheese Time: Stir in the Cheddar, Parmesan, and cubed Velveeta, letting them melt into the sauce.
  6. Combine with Pasta: Toss the cooked fettuccine into the sauce, coating well, and adjust the consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.

Notes
