Homemade Lasagna

A comforting and delicious homemade lasagna filled with layers of rich tomato sauce, gooey cheese, and perfectly cooked noodles, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Lasagna Noodles
  • Ground Beef
  • Italian Sausage
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Canned Tomatoes
  • Tomato Paste
  • Olive Oil
  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Basil
  • Oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prep the Ingredients: Chop garlic and onion, and measure ground beef and sausage.
  3. Sauté the Veggies: Heat olive oil and sauté onions until soft, then add garlic.
  4. Brown the Meat: Cook ground beef and sausage until browned; drain excess fat.
  5. Make the Sauce: Stir in crushed tomatoes and seasonings; simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: Combine ricotta, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  7. Assemble the Lasagna: Layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta, mozzarella, and repeat; finish with sauce and cheese.
  8. Cover and Bake: Bake covered for 25 minutes, then uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbling.
  9. Cool and Serve: Let it cool for 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with garlic bread and salad for a complete meal. Add fresh basil as a garnish.
