A comforting classic that features tender chicken enveloped in a creamy, cheesy sauce with al dente penne pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb penne pasta
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3/4 cup bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Penne: Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the penne pasta and cook until al dente (10-12 minutes). Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

  4. Make the Sauce: Lower the heat and mix in the softened cream cheese. Stir until melted, then add chicken broth and heavy cream until smooth.
  5. Combine the Penne and Sauce: Fold in the drained penne pasta, coating it with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add Cheddar and Bacon: Sprinkle in shredded cheddar cheese and chopped bacon. Stir until the cheese melts.
