Cracked Garlic Steak Tortellini in Creamhouse Sauce Bliss

A mouthwatering combination of tender steak and cheesy tortellini in a creamy sauce that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1 package (about 9 ounces) tortellini (fresh, frozen or dried)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
  2. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper. When the oil is hot, add the steak. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  3. Let the steak rest for about 5 minutes after cooking.
  4. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the tortellini and cook according to the package instructions (usually 3-5 minutes).
  5. Drain tortellini and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
  6. Add butter to the same skillet, then toss in the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and stir, allowing it to simmer gently.
  8. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until creamy, adjusting thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
  9. Slice the rested steak into bite-sized pieces, then add it and the drained tortellini to the cream sauce, mixing gently.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
