Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches

Comforting French Dip Sandwiches made with slow-cooked beef, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 34 lbs beef roast (chuck or brisket)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Sub rolls or hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup provolone or Swiss cheese, sliced
  • Optional: Pickled vegetables or jalapeños for a kick

Instructions

  1. Prep the beef by patting it dry and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. Layer the veggies in the crockpot.
  3. Add the roast and beef broth.
  4. Season with thyme and cover, cooking on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  5. Shred the beef after cooking.
  6. Strain the broth for au jus.
  7. Assemble the sandwiches with shredded beef and cheese.
  8. Serve with au jus for dipping.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with substituting different cheeses or adding spices for more flavor!
