Easy Tiramisu Brownies

A delightful fusion of classic tiramisu flavors and rich, fudgy brownies that will leave you wanting more!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup packed Brown Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Espresso, brewed and cooled
  • 1 cup Mascarpone Cheese
  • Cocoa Powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  3. Mix the granulated and brown sugar into the melted butter.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time and then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Add the cooled espresso and mix until just integrated.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Prepare the mascarpone layer by mixing the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  10. Chill the brownies in the fridge for at least 1 hour after spreading the mascarpone.
  11. Dust the top with cocoa powder or powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute butter with unsweetened applesauce.
