Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes

A delightful comfort food classic combining succulent steak with crispy garlic butter potatoes.

Ingredients

  • Steak (Ribeye or Sirloin)
  • Potatoes (Yukon Gold or Baby Potatoes)
  • Garlic (4-5 cloves, minced)
  • Butter (1/2 cup, unsalted)
  • Olive Oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Rosemary (fresh, a few sprigs)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Pre-cook in salted water for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Season the steak sides generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Sear the steak for 3–4 minutes without moving it until browned.
  5. Flip the steak, then add the garlic, butter, and rosemary to the pan.
  6. Baste the steak with the melted butter and cook for another 3–4 minutes for medium-rare.
  7. Drain the pre-cooked potatoes and add them to the skillet.
  8. Crisp the potatoes for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. Rest the steak for 5 minutes before slicing and serving with the potatoes.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

For added flavor, try mixing herbs or using different cuts of steak.
