Refreshing Hibiscus Drink

A vibrant and refreshing hibiscus drink that captures the essence of summer, perfect for hot days and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups water
  • 10 dried hibiscus or roselle flowers
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • Ice cubes
  • Any green leaves for garnish (mint or basil)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a large pot until it reaches a rolling boil.
  2. Add the dried hibiscus flowers to the boiling water.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the flowers.
  4. Sweeten the warm hibiscus tea with 3/4 cup of sugar until dissolved.
  5. Chill the mixture in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.
  6. Serve the drink over ice and garnish with fresh mint or basil leaves.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with flavors. Try adding citrus juice or blending in other fruits for variations on this classic drink!
