Classic Green Bean Casserole

A cozy comfort dish combining creamy green beans, crispy fried onions, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for family gatherings or weeknight dinners.

  • 2 cans green beans, drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1½ cups crispy fried onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the crispy fried onions in a large bowl.
  3. Add the drained green beans and stir until well coated.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Top with the remaining crispy fried onions.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, drizzle a bit of olive oil or melted butter over the crispy onions before baking. Feel free to customize with additional ingredients like bacon or fresh herbs.
