Lemon Tiramisu

A refreshing twist on the classic Italian dessert, Lemon Tiramisu combines creamy mascarpone with zesty lemon for a delightful treat.

  • 1 package Savoiardi (ladyfingers)
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 large fresh lemons (juice and zest)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup light tea (chamomile or lemon tea)
  • a pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lemon Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the juice of the lemons, sugar, and salt. Whisk until dissolved.
  2. Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, beat heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  3. Mix the Mascarpone: In another bowl, combine mascarpone, vanilla extract, and lemon zest. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
  4. Soak the Ladyfingers: Dip ladyfingers in the lemon syrup and lay them in your serving dish.
  5. Layer It Up: Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then repeat with another layer.
  6. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Serve It Up: Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with lemon zest before serving.

Notes

For a unique twist, consider adding fresh berries or a drizzle of chocolate between the layers.
