Light Hibiscus Mint Cooler

A refreshing summer drink combining dried hibiscus flowers, fresh mint, and a hint of citrus, perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

  • 1.65 L filtered water
  • 5 tbsp dried hibiscus flowers
  • 3 tbsp honey (to taste)
  • 60 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp orange blossom water (optional)
  • 0.5 cup fresh mint leaves (lightly crushed)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a medium-sized pot.
  2. Add hibiscus flowers and watch the water transform into ruby red.
  3. Simmer for 10–15 minutes to extract the flavor.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher.
  5. Sweeten the infusion with honey, adjusting to taste.
  6. Add lemon juice and stir well.
  7. Infuse with mint leaves for 5-10 minutes.
  8. Chill the mixture in the fridge for at least an hour.
  9. Serve over ice, garnished with mint.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Experiment with other herbs and citrus for variations.
