Marry Me Shrimp Pasta

A vibrant, creamy dish loaded with succulent shrimp and aromatic spices that’s bound to sweep anyone off their feet.

Ingredients

  • Shrimp (1 lb, peeled and deveined)
  • Pasta (8 oz, linguine or fettuccine)
  • Olive oil (2 tbsp)
  • Butter (2 tbsp)
  • Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
  • Heavy cream (1 cup)
  • Parmesan cheese (½ cup, grated)
  • Red pepper flakes (1 tsp)
  • Cherry tomatoes (1 cup, halved)
  • Fresh parsley (¼ cup, chopped)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water. Add your linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Toss in the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until they turn pink (about 2-3 minutes on each side).
  3. Add Garlic and Butter: Once shrimp is cooked, remove them from the skillet. In the same skillet, melt the butter and add minced garlic. Sauté just until fragrant.
  4. Create the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Add the grated Parmesan and let it melt, creating a luscious sauce.
  5. Toss in the Tomatoes: Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Combine Pasta and Shrimp: Return the cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet, tossing everything until well coated in the sauce.
  7. Serve and Impress!: Plate the pasta in shallow bowls, garnish with more Parmesan and parsley.
