Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey/chicken/plant-based alternative)
  • 2 cups jasmine or basmati rice (or brown/cauliflower rice)
  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Assorted vegetables (lettuce, carrots, peppers, snap peas)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions, usually a 2:1 water-to-rice ratio, and let it sit covered for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Season the beef with teriyaki sauce and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes after draining excess fat.
  4. Prepare the vegetables by chopping or sautéing them to keep them crunchy.
  5. Assemble the bowls with a scoop of rice, teriyaki beef, and fresh vegetables.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve with extra teriyaki sauce if desired.
