Dump-and-Bake Shepherd’s Pie

A simple and flavorful Dump-and-Bake Shepherd’s Pie that brings comfort and joy to your dinner table.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 3 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 3 cups prepared mashed potatoes
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Prep your casserole dish by spraying it with cooking oil.
  4. Drain any excess fat from the beef and add the thyme.
  5. Spread the cooked beef evenly at the bottom of your casserole dish.
  6. Toss in the frozen mixed vegetables on top of the beef.
  7. Spoon the prepared mashed potatoes over the vegetables.
  8. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese generously across the top.
  9. Pop it in the oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes.
  10. Let it cool for about 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color. Pair with a crisp green salad.
