Sloppy Joe Casserole

A heartwarming twist on a classic favorite, this Sloppy Joe Casserole combines seasoned ground beef with tangy sauce, topped with flaky biscuit dough and gooey cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1½ cups sloppy joe sauce
  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, cooking for 7-10 minutes.
  3. Mix in the sloppy joe sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Assemble the casserole in a 9×13-inch baking dish by spreading the beef mixture at the bottom.
  5. Scatter the cut biscuit dough pieces over the beef mixture.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the biscuit dough is golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

You can substitute ground beef with turkey or plant-based options for a healthier version. Leftover casserole is just as delicious the next day!
