The Best Pistachio Donuts

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glazing)
  • 23 tablespoons milk (for glazing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your donut pan with cooking spray or butter.
  3. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Beat together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  5. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped pistachios.
  7. Pipe the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each cavity two-thirds full.
  8. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool the donuts in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  10. Whisk together powdered sugar and milk for the glaze.
  11. Dip the tops of each donut into the glaze and let excess drip off.

Notes
