Southern Peach Tea

A refreshing and nostalgic Southern Peach Tea that’s perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups brewed black tea
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar (to taste)
  • 1 cup water
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Brew the tea by bringing 4 cups of water to a boil, adding 4 tea bags, and steeping for 5-7 minutes. Remove tea bags and cool.
  2. Prepare the peaches by slicing and tossing them in sugar, letting them sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Make the sweet peach syrup by combining 1 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved. Optionally, add half the peaches and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Mix the cooled black tea with the peach syrup in a large pitcher and stir in remaining peaches.
  5. Chill the tea in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Serve over ice and garnish as desired.

Notes

Serve in mason jars with straws for a fun summer touch!
