BBQ Chicken Burrata Pasta

A comforting and flavorful dish that combines BBQ chicken and creamy burrata with pasta for a delightful meal.

  • 8 oz Pasta (spiral, penne, or spaghetti)
  • 2 cups BBQ Chicken (shredded)
  • 8 oz Burrata Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil (chopped)
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water over high heat. Add your pasta of choice and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, saving about 1 cup of pasta water for later.
  2. Prepare the BBQ Chicken: While your pasta is cooking, grab your shredded BBQ chicken and heat it gently in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add the shredded BBQ chicken to the skillet with garlic and stir to combine. Stir in cooked pasta, and pour in reserved pasta water until desired sauce consistency is achieved.
  5. Add Burrata and Basil: Tear the burrata into pieces and nestle them into the pasta mix, allowing it to melt slightly. Finish with basil, salt, and pepper.
  6. Plate and Serve: Transfer the dish to plates and add a drizzle of BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

Serve with fresh basil and cracked pepper, along with garlic bread or a green salad.
