Peach Bacon Cornbread Skillet

A delightful combination of sweet peaches and savory bacon baked into a fluffy cornbread, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Cornbread Mix
  • Fresh Peaches
  • Bacon
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Sugar
  • Eggs
  • Milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy for 6-8 minutes. Transfer to a towel-lined plate.
  3. Sauté the diced peaches in the bacon grease for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Mix cornbread mix, sugar, eggs, and milk until just combined.
  5. Combine the crispy bacon bits and sautéed peaches into the batter.
  6. Bake in the hot skillet for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or a drizzle of honey or maple syrup. This dish can also be enjoyed as a side with grilled meats.
