Dump-and-Bake Turkey Taco Bake

A simple and flavorful Turkey Taco Bake that brings comfort and ease to busy weeknight dinners.

  • 2 lbs lean ground turkey
  • 2 cups uncooked instant rice
  • 2 cups salsa
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups Mexican cheese blend
  • 1 packet taco seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the Turkey: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add your ground turkey and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Transfer the cooked turkey to a large mixing bowl, add rice, salsa, chicken broth, and taco seasoning. Stir well.
  4. Transfer to a Baking Dish: Grease a large casserole dish and pour the mixture into it, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake: Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Add Cheese and Finish Baking: Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  7. Let It Rest: Allow the dish to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with fresh cilantro, diced avocado, or sour cream. Can be made ahead and is freezer-friendly.
