  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare your peaches: Start by peeling the peaches. Dice them into small 1/2-inch chunks.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients: Whisk the milk and egg in another bowl, then add this mixture to the dry ingredients.
  4. Fold in the peaches: Gently fold the diced peaches into the batter.
  5. Heat the oil: In a large frying pan, pour vegetable oil and heat over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the fritters: Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, frying for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Drain and cool: Remove fritters from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  8. Serve warm: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with honey before serving.
