Peach Lavender Garden Jam

A delightful spread combining sweet peaches and aromatic lavender, perfect for summer breakfasts and gourmet cheese platters.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Peaches (about 4 cups, chopped)
  • Dried Culinary Lavender (1 tablespoon)
  • Granulated Sugar (2 cups)
  • Lemon Juice (1/4 cup)
  • Pectin (1 package, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash peaches thoroughly, peel if desired, pit and chop into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large pot, mix peaches, sugar, lavender, and lemon juice. Let sit for 15-30 minutes.
  3. Let the Fun Begin: Heat mixture to a gentle boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes until thickened, adding pectin if desired.
  4. Jar it Up: Remove from heat, strain lavender if preferred, and pour into sterilized jars.
  5. Cool and Store: Allow to cool to room temperature before refrigerating or canning.
