Pizza Stuffed Hash Browns

A creative twist combining crispy hash browns with gooey mozzarella and savory pepperoni, perfect for breakfast or any time snack.

  • 2 cups Hash Browns (frozen or freshly grated)
  • 1 cup Pepperoni (classic, mini, or turkey)
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese (whole-milk recommended)
  • 1 tsp Seasoned Salt
  • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil or Butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Hash Browns: Thaw frozen hash browns completely, then squeeze out excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel.
  2. Heat the Skillet: In a sizable skillet, heat about 2 tablespoons of oil or butter over medium heat.
  3. Form the Hash Brown Patties: Press a heaping cup of hash browns into a flat, round shape in the skillet, about ½ inch thick.
  4. Cook to Perfection: Allow them to cook on one side for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Fill the Hash Brown: Once golden, sprinkle mozzarella on one half, then add pepperoni and more cheese on top.
  6. Fold and Finish Cooking: Fold the other half over the filling and press down gently, cooking for another 3 to 4 minutes.
  7. Flip and Crisp the Other Side: Cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until both sides are golden and crispy.
  8. Rest and Serve: Transfer to paper towels to absorb excess oil and let sit for a minute before slicing.

Notes

Serve with marinara sauce for dipping. Experiment with different cheeses or add veggies for variations.
