Sizzling Chinese Pepper Steak with Onions

A flavorful and quick dish featuring tender beef, colorful bell peppers, and aromatic onions, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • Beef Sirloin or Flank Steak
  • Bell Peppers (Red, Green, Yellow)
  • Onion
  • Soy Sauce
  • Cornstarch
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Black Pepper
  • Chili Flakes
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Green Onions

Instructions

  1. Prep the beef: Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips. Toss with soy sauce and cornstarch, marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Chop your veggies: Chop bell peppers and onion into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Sizzle town: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, add marinated beef, sear for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Toss in the aromatics: Remove beef, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Add your veggies: Stir-fry bell peppers and onions for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Bring it all together: Add beef back, pour in remaining soy sauce, stir for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Final flourish: Stir in chopped green onions before serving.
