Slow Cooker Lasagna

A comforting slow cooker version of the classic lasagna, filled with layers of pasta, rich meat sauce, and gooey cheese.

Ingredients

  • Lasagna Noodles (traditional or no-boil)
  • Ground Beef or Sausage
  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Dried Herbs (Basil, Oregano, Parsley)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by gathering everything you need.
  2. Cook the meat in a skillet until browned, adding onion and garlic towards the end.
  3. Mix the cooked meat, tomatoes, and sauce in a bowl, seasoning to taste.
  4. Layer the bottom of the slow cooker with sauce, followed by noodles, ricotta, and mozzarella.
  5. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella on top.
  6. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  7. Check for doneness and add extra cheese 30 minutes before serving if desired.
  8. Let it rest for 20-30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, you can replace the meat with roasted vegetables. Make sure to use gluten-free noodles if needed.
