Smashburger Quesadillas

Transform juicy smash burgers into crispy, cheesy quesadillas—perfect for a family dinner.

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 4 large Flour Tortillas
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Pickles, sliced
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Olive Oil or Butter, for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, drizzle olive oil or melt butter. Sauté the onion until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
  2. Cook the Beef: Add the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes), then mix in ketchup, mustard, and pickles.
  3. Assembly Time: Place cheese on half of a tortilla.
  4. Load It Up: Spoon beef filling over the cheese, then add more cheese on top. Fold the tortilla in half.
  5. Crisp It Up: In the skillet, add more oil or butter and cook the folded quesadilla (about 3-5 minutes each side) until golden brown and cheese melted.
  6. Slice and Serve: Let it sit briefly, then slice into wedges to serve.
