Sonic Strawberry Limeade

A refreshing strawberry limeade that perfectly balances sweetness and tangy flavor, making it an ideal summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz. frozen strawberries, thawed
  • 4 cups prepared limeade
  • 16 oz. lemon-lime soda
  • Pebble ice (optional)
  • Strawberries, for garnish
  • Limes, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Thaw those strawberries! Remove the frozen strawberries from your freezer and allow them to thaw. This usually takes about 30 to 60 minutes at room temperature. Once thawed, using a fork or a potato masher, mash them up a bit to release their juicy goodness.
  2. Prepare your limeade. If you decided to go the homemade route, now’s the time to mix your fresh lime juice, water, and sugar (to taste). Stir it well until you reach that perfect blend of sweet and tangy. Store-bought limeade is just as good—just make sure it’s well-chilled before mixing!
  3. Mix the ingredients. In a large pitcher, combine the mashed strawberries and prepared limeade. Stir gently until everything is well-combined, and you see a lovely pink swirl of flavor.
  4. Add the lemon-lime soda. Slowly pour in the lemon-lime soda while gently stirring. Watch the fizz dance and bubble—it’s almost as exciting to make as it is to drink!
  5. Serve it up! Fill your glasses with pebble ice or regular ice cubes, whichever you opt for. Pour the Sonic Strawberry Limeade over the ice, making sure each glass gets an equal mix of strawberries and those refreshing bubbles.
  6. Garnish and enjoy! Top each glass with a fresh strawberry and a lime wedge.

Notes

Add lemon-lime soda right before serving for maximum fizz. You can also try different variations by adding other berries or mint.
