Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles

A scrumptious and simple weeknight dish featuring tender chicken slathered in a sweet and savory sticky garlic sauce, served over perfectly cooked noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 8 ounces egg noodles or any noodles of choice
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken: Slice the boneless, skinless chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the noodles: Bring salted water to boil, add noodles, and cook until al dente. Save 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. Sauté the garlic: In a skillet over medium heat, add sesame oil and minced garlic, cooking until golden and fragrant.
  4. Brown the chicken: Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Make the sauce: Whisk soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and pepper. Pour over chicken and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Combine with noodles: Toss drained noodles into the skillet, mixing to coat in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed.
  7. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, garnish with green onions, and serve hot.

Notes

For variations, consider adding vegetables, adjusting the spice level, or using tofu for a vegetarian option.
