Chocolate-Covered Watermelon

A refreshing treat combining juicy watermelon and rich chocolate, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe watermelon
  • 200g dark chocolate (100% cocoa or semi-sweet)
  • Flaky sea salt (optional)
  • Popping candy (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the watermelon by cutting it into bite-sized triangles or rounds.
  2. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave (15-20 seconds bursts).
  3. Dip each piece of watermelon into the melted chocolate, covering about half.
  4. Add a sprinkle of sea salt over the chocolate-covered portion if using.
  5. Set the dipped watermelon on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let it cool at room temperature or refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle popping candy on top before the chocolate hardens.
  7. Enjoy your chocolate-covered watermelon once the chocolate has set!
