Taco Croissant Casserole

A delightful fusion of flaky croissants, savory taco beef, and ooey-gooey cheddar cheese, perfect for gatherings.

  • 810 Croissants
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes, drained
  • Green Onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up until browned (7-10 minutes).
  3. Add taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of water; let it simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Prepare the croissants by slicing them in half horizontally, laying them cut-side up in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Layer the cooked taco beef over the croissants, followed by diced tomatoes and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Whisk together eggs and milk in a medium bowl.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients and top with the remaining cup of cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before garnishing with chopped green onions.

Notes

Can be made ahead by assembling the night before; bake for extra time if stored in the fridge.
